FLORIDA’S SCENIC & ICONIC HIGHWAY 30A

The area between Panama City Beach and Destin is known by several nicknames – the Emerald Coast, the Panhandle, and the Beaches of South Walton just to name a few – but the one used most often, by locals and visitors alike, is simply “30A.” It’s a reference to Scenic Florida State Highway 30A. The road (and area) loops south from Highway 98 starting just east of Sandestin and then runs along the coast until it meets up again with 98 on the east just outside of Panama City Beach. Just over 25 miles from end to end, with more than a dozen unique and different communities featuring stunning white beaches, gorgeous emerald green waters, nature preserves, unique topography and natural wonders, and hundreds of neighborhoods, shops, boutiques, galleries, and restaurants just waiting for you to drop in. Picture it sort of like “The Hampton’s in the South!”

The 30A area, with its wonderful beaches and communities, is one of the fastest growing spots in America (*the sixth fastest growing county in America) and is home to some of the most innovative communities, businesses, and entrepreneurs in the country. What was once a small northwest Florida stretch of road known for laid back vacations and second homes is now a booming, full time destination and home for many lucky people who have discovered the magic. The secret is out and the 30A corridor has become some of the most desired real estate in the country.

Another reason for the deep love of 30A is the natural beauty of the area. The beaches and parks are home to some of the most pristine coastal areas in the entire world just ask National Geographic which named the area one of the top 28 places you must see in the world for 2019!

The region has not only some of the most beautiful (and award winning) beaches on the planet but it is also home to unique coastal dune lakes, wide varieties of wildlife and plant species, towering sand dunes, longleaf pine and oak forests, wet prairies, and cypress swamps. And rest assured that all of this beauty is not going away – 40% of Walton County is protected state land, parks, and forest areas so development is closely controlled.

Many things make 30A attractive as both a place to visit and to live. The beaches. The outdoor activities. The weather. The seafood. The nature. The eco-tourism. The culture. The opportunities. The people. The list goes on and on. This truly is paradise. So what are you waiting for? It is time for you to become a part of paradise. It’s Time to Own Your Story!
